Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Amy Ellowitz works with individuals, couples, and families navigating major life transitions—from high-conflict relationships, divorce, and family estrangement to college milestones, identity development, and retirement. She brings nearly a decade of specialized experience supporting LGBTQ+ clients, including gay men, trans women, and youth exploring gender identity.

Amy’s approach is affirming, trauma-informed, and deeply personalized. She creates a therapeutic space where clients can pause, breathe, and reconnect with parts of themselves that may have been set aside in order to cope. Her work honors the whole person—identity, culture, and lived experience included—while supporting clients through grief, identity shifts, relational challenges, and turning-point moments when old coping strategies no longer suffice.

With a deeply attuned and collaborative presence, Amy recognizes the emotional, physical, and systemic layers that shape each client’s story. Sessions unfold at a pace that supports safety, empowerment, and choice, helping clients build resilience, confidence, and a grounded sense of self. Clients often leave feeling seen, supported, and more aligned with who they are and who they are becoming.

Amy’s therapeutic philosophy is rooted in partnership rather than prescription. She walks alongside clients to co-create a meaningful path forward—one that strengthens inner resources and nurtures a renewed sense of ease, trust, and possibility.
